Soon, laptops featuring an RTX 4090 will be available in the wild thanks to Nvidia's forthcoming mobile GPU line. They unfortunately won't be inexpensive. We recently came across one of these laptops, and the price is really horrifying. You could be better off just purchasing a desktop graphics card instead if it weren't for the portability aspect of laptops. When Nvidia revealed the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 laptop prices, it stated that those laptops will be on sale on February 8 and would start at $2,000; however, most of the high-end variants may end up costing substantially more. Of course, many people were skeptical and prepared for the worst considering the exorbitant cost of the desktop versions of those two graphics cards. These forecasts appear to be about to materialize. It has a 24-core Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, making it a high-end laptop. Customers also receive a 16-inch 240Hz IPS display, customizable DDR5 RAM amounts, and even an optional external water cooling system to lower the operating temperature. Users can choose the graphics card they desire. The lowest setup, which still includes a Core i9-13900HX, costs approximately $2,360 (2,199 euros) at the time of writing and has an RTX 4060. The price is significantly increased when the graphics card is upgraded due to the additional cost. Finally, if you want to get Nvidia's RTX 4090 in its top configuration, you will need to pay an additional 1,687 euros, or roughly $1,810, which is more than the GPU's suggested selling price for a desktop version. A mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches, for example, would increase the cost. The XMG Neo 16 has a great sound, but many people will be discouraged by the cost. A reliable desktop PC can be purchased for that money, so a $4,000 laptop is nothing to be ashamed of. Laptops, however, offer independence that desktop computers cannot. However, as long as you can find a power outlet to plug your laptop into, you may game while you're on the go despite the fact that these high-end machines typically have relatively bad battery life.
