After a video of a worker terrifying toddlers in their care while wearing a Halloween mask surfaced, four daycare staff were dismissed. Children were seen crying and covering their faces in agony in the viral footage from last week as a worker with a mask moved around them. CeeCee, the questioned employee, asserts that she was only frightening kids because they were "bad" for not cleaning up properly. The woman in the disguise is seen being pointed out to by a different staffer as the "bad" kids. The incident is currently under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Mississippi State Department of Health. The recordings were not made known to Sheila Sanders, the proprietor of Lil' Blessings Child Care in Hamilton, until they started to circulate online on October 5. Sanders told DailyMail, "I contacted my licensure, and she has gotten engaged." "The perpetrators of those crimes are no longer with us.Halloween mask They were let go. I wasn't present at the time, so I was unaware of what they were doing. I never have and will never condone such. I only want to state that it has been resolved." The event is being investigated, according to Liz Sharlot, the Mississippi Department of Health's director of communications, who verified this to Monroe Journal. According to reports, one of the films was shot in September, while another was shot on October 4—the day before both were uploaded to Facebook. Sanders claimed she was not made aware of the event in September. While some of the children attempt to flee the mask, others can be seen wailing and sobbing. Since then, CeeCee has expressed regret and claimed in a video that "It wasn't intended to hurt anyone and it wasn't malicious." In addition, she said that the "teachers asked her to do it in an effort to persuade the class to listen or tidy up." She said, "I don't harm children. The county sheriff's office and the state are both conducting investigations into four former childcare staffers.
