Allegedly, Samsung still intends to release the Galaxy S22 FE shortly, according to reports from earlier this week. Though the Galaxy S22 FE may be coming, rumors suggest that it will be the final Fan Edition device, with the Galaxy S23 FE now likely off the table.
The Galaxy S23 FE is purportedly unsalvageable. Despite the fact that none of the sources offer a justification, it makes plausible that Samsung would be considering discontinuing the FE line of smartphones. For starters, the phones often go on sale more than nine months after the Galaxy S-series phones as a result of which there is little to no price difference between the two lineups.
For instance, when the
Galaxy S21 FE launched, the majority of consumers would have preferred the
Galaxy S21 above it. Similar to how potential purchasers could choose to wait for newer technologies, close proximity to the release of the Galaxy S lineup's successors may discourage some. In any event, the Fan Edition line from Samsung has always felt a little ill-conceived—at least in its current incarnation.
Nevertheless, it's crucial to consume everything in moderation. For instance, there were numerous rumors that the Galaxy S21 FE had been shelved; yet, the device ultimately launched after numerous delays. Despite similar cancellation rumors earlier in the year, there hasn't been much trustworthy information available regarding the S22 FE in recent sources, which points to that phone being prepared for release. After all is said and done, the Galaxy S23 FE may very well continue that pattern.
