Scott Ziegler: Fired Loudoun County school superintendent faces ire over handling of rape in gender fluid loo

The school board decided to fire the superintendent after a grand jury's damning report into how the system handled two sexual assaults by a student wearing a skirt. At Stone Bridge High School in Virginia in May 2021, a 15-year-old boy sexually raped a female student in a toilet that was welcoming to transgender people. The youngster was found guilty of sexually assaulting a different girl in October 2021 while wearing a skirt at the time of the incident at a different school. Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler lied when he said there were no recordings of the attacks, according to the grand jury findings. After a secret two-and-a-half-hour meeting on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the day the report was made public, the board decided to immediately fire Zeigler. Loudoun School spokesperson Wayde Byard acknowledged Ziegler's departure but did not provide any other information. The grand jury was attacked by the father of the girl who was sexually abused at Stone Bridge in a transgender-friendly restroom for failing to charge Loudoun County school officials with a crime despite evidence that they deceived parents. A contentious debate in Loudoun County about transgender students' rights and parental freedom of speech was sparked by the circumstance. Initially, Scott and his wife Jessica asked that the child undergo treatment for rehabilitation rather than being immediately sent to jail. However, after learning about the second incident, which involved a different girl, Scott referred to the boy as a "psychopath" and forewarned that "we are going to hear about him again." An investigation found that the school district's leadership misled parents about the debate surrounding the transgender bathroom policy in an effort to prevent the second assault. Additionally, Scott chastised the grand jury for only issuing recommendations about how the school and instructors should go moving forward rather of holding them legally accountable. The school, which had before denied that any complaints had been made, now alleges that the kid was attacked while donning a "kilt." Devastated In a statement to Fox News, Scott said, "They simply lie, lie, lie. I have a photo of him from that day on my phone that I can show you. There was no kilt about it. I think he decided who he was and what he was on a daily basis." He added, "I've seen evidence since that, unfortunately, my wife and I we fought very hard to get this child treatment and then evidence revealed to us after the fact that this kid's a psychopath. He's a sexual predator and unfortunately, we're going to hear about him again."
