The FBI has come under fire from the mother of a North Carolina lady who was discovered dead in Mexico in late October. Sallamondra Robinson, the mother of Shanquella Robinson, used Instagram to criticize the detectives for not yet apprehending the individual who killed her daughter. The distraught mother wrote, "Enough is not being done by the FBI to put the people who attacked Shanquella behind bars. I posted a photo of myself with Shanquella." I'm just trying to wait till someone is taken into custody. As of right now, the FBI is not providing any information. Attackers from Shanquella told me there was no fight that occurred in #cabomexico while staring me in the face. In another social media share, Sallamondra wrote, “I believe this all was planned. The people Shanquella went on a trip with have all been friends for over 10 years. Authorities have not informed me on any information due to Shanquella case but I was told the FBI is now questioning everyone from the #cabo6. #shanquellarobinson #justiceforshanquellarobinson #family #charlottenc #cabomexico #quella #justiceforquella.” According to earlier accounts, the 25-year-old lady died as a result of alcohol poisoning. Later, suspicion of foul play developed, with her family suspecting Shanquella's travel companions.
A GoFundMe started by the victim’s sister Quilla Long stated, “My beautiful sister #ShanquellaRobinson, recently went on a trip to Cabo, Mexico, with people she believed were her friends. During this trip, she was found dead. Her associates claimed she died of alcohol poisoning, but the death certificate from the Mexican government contradicts this statement as it reveals a broken neck and cracked spine and a time of death which is 15 minutes after she sustained these injuries.” “The United States State Department released a statement claiming ‘no clear evidence of foul play,’ yet there is a video circulating of a woman violently attacking Shanquella. This statement is unacceptable, and we are beyond devastated. We continue to fight for the truth,” she had added. Meanwhile, Sallamondra’s Instagram posts have grabbed a lot of people’s attention with a person commenting, “I trust that God is working it out. I'm sure the FBI is putting together a plan. They must make sure they have all the moving parts together. We definitely what the charges to stick. Continue to pray and stay encouraged.”
