The Garmin Forerunner 265 is a really cool watch that is different from other watches.

Image Credit: AIVAnet The Garmin Forerunner 265 has the same vibe as a gym friend who just bought brand-new activewear. Their footwear is cutting-edge, and their attitude is motivating. It equates to a lovely new display and a few extra training options on a fitness tracker. Internally, the Forerunner 255 still has a lot of the qualities we loved about it or even better ones. Garmin just provided us with the dependable, lightweight running watch we requested, complete with an AMOLED screen. Read more in our review of the Garmin Forerunner 265. On March 2, 2023, the Forerunner 265 series debuted with a fresh appearance. Garmin introduced vibrant, AMOLED touchscreen displays to the Forerunner line for the first time. The Garmin 265 series is the company's mid-level entry point into the popular running watch range, even though it debuted alongside a new Forerunner 965. The Forerunner 265 series, like the Forerunner 255 from 2022, comes in two sizes: the Forerunner 265, which measures 46mm and has a 1.3-inch display with 416 x 416 resolution, and the Forerunner 265S, which is even smaller at 42mm and has a 1.1-inch display with 360 x 360 resolution. Both have bezels made of fiber-reinforced polymer, Gorilla Glass 3 for tough durability, and 5ATM water resistance certifications. Moreover, there is no longer a separate Music edition as both sizes have 8GB of storage, which is more than enough space for your favorite playlists. Even if the base pricing is $50 more costly than the music variant of the Forerunner 255, it's good to see that such a fundamental component is given the respect it deserves. Nevertheless, as the gadget lacks a speaker, you must link a pair of Bluetooth earphones or headphones. The Garmin Forerunner 265's design is flawless as always. I was overjoyed to see the Forerunner 255 introduce a second size, and I'm even pleased to see it come back with music storage as standard. The construction is nevertheless strong, portable, and very customizable. The band is a blessing because it has a ton of stretch for getting the ideal fit. The colors are vibrant and athletic without going far with the cartoonish or obnoxious. While that is all well and good, the new AMOLED touchscreen display is the most intriguing aspect of the design. The Forerunner lineup has undergone a significant alteration, and the watch now stands much higher. With its bright colors and clear writing, it now much more closely resembles a smartwatch. As previously indicated, the Forerunner 265S and 265 have displays that measure 1.1 and 1.3 inches, respectively. For this Forerunner 265 review, I tested the smaller model, and after spending so much time testing bigger watches like the Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, I found the display to be fairly tiny. The display could have used some smaller bezels, but even in the middle of a run when your heart is racing and your vision is blurry, it is still easily readable. The watch is simple to see and, dare I say it, attractive—even in glaring sunshine. You may even modify the brightness levels for when you do go back inside.
