With 2022 nearly complete — and our Editors' Choice products firmly in place — it's time to start thinking about what's next in 2023. We've long assumed that Samsung would be the first to unveil its next-generation flagship phones, but OnePlus is making a bold move. The OnePlus 11 5G is now available publicly, but we'll need to wait a few months to learn about its secrets and specifications.
The OnePlus 11 launch ceremony is scheduled for February 7th, 2023 in New Delhi, India. Along with its next smartphone, OnePlus plans to release the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, a follow-up pair to its surprisingly good — if not insanely bass-heavy — 2021 set. The event teaser does not reveal much in terms of actual information, but the shadowy appearance of the phone seems to back up the previously spotted leaked renders. The event is dubbed "Cloud 11" because OnePlus is preparing to transport fans from cloud 9 to the cloud... So, you get it.

Even though we'll have to wait approximately two months for a full unveiling of the OnePlus 11 5G, the company is teasing two specifics that should be interesting. First and foremost, the Alert Slider is making a triumphant return after a disappointing absence on the OnePlus 10T this summer. The company had earlier stated that its useful ringer toggle had not died permanently, so it's wonderful to see it returning so soon. The Hasselblad collaboration continues here as well, complete with a custom color-tuning profile.
We'll have to wait a little longer to understand more about the new OnePlus flagship, as the event is nearly two months away. Having said that, the company loves to tease out its announcements, and with CES right around the corner, don't be surprised if we learn more through official sources before too long. If not, there's always a continuous cycle of leaks and rumors, which will undoubtedly continue right up until the event.
