Companion mode may sound familiar to you because it has been around for a while, first appearing in an earlier beta before being released in a limited way a few months later. The feature's expansion may portend a general release in the near future even though it is still only available to beta testers. If you use WhatsApp frequently, it's likely that you've tried installing it on your computer, accessing it from a desktop browser, or somehow extending the app's functionality beyond your phone. If not, it might be a lengthy procedure. WhatsApp is a touch different from other apps in that it requires authentication from the primary device, but with most apps it's as simple as using the same credentials and entering into the account. To get started, you must first check in on the secondary smartphone and then scan a QR code with the primary device. While not the most comfortable, this kind of procedure maintains security, which is the main objective. According to WABetaInfo, the most recent upgrade allows you to simultaneously join up to four devices. Of course, having several devices is a great benefit, but there are some limitations with the secondary devices because a linked device does not yet have all of the capabilities of the primary device. Fortunately, you will always have access to your chat history and conversation logs, which is probably what the majority of users will want from a tool like this. To use the feature, simply make sure that WhatsApp is installed at version 2.23.8.2 or higher. Make sure the other device is running the most recent beta version if you plan to use the companion feature. As was previously noted, iOS users will have to wait till this feature becomes accessible for Android smartphones and tablets. The procedure involves attaching the device and scanning a QR code to connect, just like when you join your primary device to your PC. It's crucial to reiterate that all of your chats on all of your devices will continue to be encrypted.
