What’s new in iOS 16.5?

Registered developer beta testers will be able to get iOS 16.5 beta 3 starting today. You can apply the update as it becomes available over the air in the ensuing hour by navigating to the Settings app, selecting General, and then selecting Software Update. The update for today has build number 20F5050f. As attention begins to turn to iOS 17, which will be unveiled at WWDC in just two months, iOS 16.5 doesn't contain many noteworthy updates. The update also includes the addition of a specific Sports tab to the Apple News app, something that sports fans have long wanted. iOS 16.5 is most likely to be made available to everyone by Apple in May. As the business continues beta testing prior to that wider release, a fresh public beta will be made available later today.
