BMW i4 M50 turned into sleek electric patrol car by German tuner

The BMW i4 has been modified by AC Schnitzer into a stylish patrol car for the German police with a lower suspension setting and other more or less subtle aesthetic alterations. The sporty electric sedan from Bavaria's production model will still surpass the modified concept car, though. The Tesla Model Y has already been used by several American law enforcement organizations to evaluate its viability as an eco-friendly patrol vehicle, and in the not-too-distant future, their foreign counterparts may adopt additional EVs. A reputable German tuning outfit has therefore depicted what a potential "LE" edition of a prominent Tesla Model 3 rival, the BMW i4, would be like. The BMW i4 police car now features a few improvements as part of the "Tune It! Safe!" marketing campaign, including the return of its well-known silver, blue, and yellow color scheme. The modified car also has 20-inch bespoke wheels and Ventus S1 Evo 3 tires from the South Korean sponsor Hankook, and it is up to 9.8 inches lower than the standard production model. A new splitter, additional design features, and two LED warning lights that are neatly incorporated into BMW's enormous kidney-shaped grille give the modified BMW i4 a slightly more aggressive appearance from the front. In terms of performance, the law enforcement edition still has 536 horsepower, which can accelerate the car from 0 to 60 mph in around 3.7 seconds. AC Schnitzer has also made a few additions to the EV's opulent interior. Since the goal of the BMW i4 M50 concept car is to encourage the safe tuning of personal automobiles since performance upgrades are strictly regulated in Germany, it is not surprising that the drivetrain stayed intact.
