Volvo unveiled its inaugural electric minivan, the EM90, over the weekend, marking a significant leap into the realm of eco-friendly mobility. Going beyond mere transportation, Volvo crafted the EM90 to embody a "Scandinavian living room" experience, ensuring that every journey becomes a comfortable and homely adventure.
What’s Inside?
The interior of the Volvo EM90 boasts a distinctive 'Scandinavian Living Room' ambiance, featuring three rows of two seats each instead of the conventional bench seat in the second row. With a generous 3205mm wheelbase, there is ample space for socializing and talking with the other members in the car. The dashboard showcases a prominent 15.4" touchscreen, complemented by a similarly sized one that descends from the roof for rear-seat passengers.

Under the hood, a robust 272bhp electric motor, powered by an extensive 116kWh battery (contributing to its weight approaching three tonnes), propels the EM90. Volvo asserts a 0-62mph acceleration in 8.3 seconds and an impressive range of 450 miles, particularly in the Chinese market, where it is exclusively available for sale. Interestingly, Volvo has not released a press statement for the EM90 in the UK, suggesting that it may not be destined for the British market.
