Race to Space

The statement on Monday has brought to mind the US and the former Soviet Union's space race in the 1960s and 1970s against the backdrop of competition with the US to reach key milestones in space. According to the reports, the US, at least temporarily, has a significant advantage over China in terms of spending, supply networks, and capabilities. With the assistance of private sector firms like SpaceX and Blue Origin, the US hopes to return astronauts to the lunar surface by the end of 2025 as part of its commitment to crewed missions. The organization also unveiled a group of three astronauts who will fly on a trip to the nation's space station on Tuesday morning. The current crew, which has been based on the orbiting station for the last six months, will be replaced by this new group of astronauts. The Chinese Manned Space Agency's deputy director, Lin Xiqiang, unveiled China's strategy during a briefing for a military-run program. China's plan calls for preparing for a brief stay on the lunar surface and undertaking joint exploration with robots. Lin emphasized the nation's thorough near-Earth human space station, a human round-trip transportation system, and a well-established method for choosing, supporting, and training future astronauts. The agency believes that two crewed missions each year will be sufficient to achieve its goals. With the addition of its third segment in November, the Tiangong space station was deemed complete. The crew's living and working conditions would be enhanced by the launch of a fourth module, according to Lin, who also indicated when it would be launched. Ahead Mission Shenzhou 16

The present crew and the future trio of astronauts will briefly work together on the impending Shenzhou 16 mission. The current crew has been actively involved in carrying out tests and putting the equipment together both inside and outside the spaceship over the previous six months. This new crew is notable for breaking with precedent by including a civilian member and doing away with the old practice of only choosing people from the People's Liberation Army. With China and the United States competing for diplomatic and military hegemony, this exclusion has intensified rivalry between them in the realm of space exploration. The lunar south pole will be explored first by the humans sent by NASA to the moon by the end of 2025. This region is notable for its permanently darkened craters, which are believed to contain significant amounts of frozen water.
