For his Optimus (also known as the Tesla Bot), Elon Musk makes a bold forecast.

The tech entrepreneur praised his electric vehicles during the Tesla annual shareholder meeting on Tuesday, May 16. Elon made a bold prediction regarding his humanoid machine in addition to praising Tesla’s electric vehicles.

The Tesla shareholder meeting featured Elon Musk’s Tesla Bot, according to the most recent article from Inc. Magazine.

Major Optimus advancements were demonstrated at the event, including doing manual labor duties. Musk spoke with his audience and posed an intriguing question to them after the video presentation.

The millionaire questioned, “What would be the effective ratio of humanoid robots to humans?” Then, in response to his own query, he stated that everyone would desire one for themselves.

He continued, “There’s also a chance that customers will want more than one Optimus.”

Which implies, if something like Optimus truly works—which it will—the true demand is, what, 10 billion units? It may be 20 billion units, according to Musk.

The tech executive added that Optimus will ultimately account for most of Tesla’s long-term worth. Elon claimed to be confident in his audacious Tesla bot predictions.

During the prior Tesla Investor Day 2023, Musk gave a second Optimus prediction in addition to the demand projection.

Elon anticipates that Optimus will generate more revenue than Tesla EVs, according to New Atlas. The billionaire predicted that humanoid robots may outnumber people more than one to one. Musk further stated that the Tesla Bot might soon have both industrial and domestic applications.

Elon understands that Optimus is still a long way from achieving its primary objective. But he is adamant that they are making progress.
