Facebook has recently released new updates to its end-to-end encrypted chat feature on Messenger to improve user experience while maintaining privacy and security. One of the new updates is the option for users to customize their chat backgrounds with a variety of colors and gradient designs. This feature allows users to personalize their conversations with a more visually appealing chat theme. In addition to chat themes, the update also includes custom emojis and reaction gifs. Users can now choose from a full menu of emojis and reactions to express themselves during conversations. Another new feature is the option for group profile photos for large chats, link previews, and an active status feature to let others know when you are available. The update also added chat bubbles feature for android users which enables them to read and reply to messages while using other apps. Facebook also announced its plan to make end-to-end encryption the default option for Messenger chats. The company will be testing the feature on user chats in the coming weeks and months before implementing it on the platform as a whole. This feature ensures that both sides of the chat are fully encrypted, meaning that not even Facebook has access to the contents of the conversation.
