First toilet gadget U-Scan from Withings, you need to use from now

The new U-Scan from Withings is specifically designed for use in the toilet. It's not as disgusting as it sounds; doctors use it to analyze blood and urine samples before making diagnoses. Withings is increasing the amount of health information that can be extracted from urine without sending it to a lab. The new U-Scan from the company automates the collection process completely. It is the cheapest and most convenient way of confirming a pregnancy without going to the doctor. A thermal sensor identifies the presence of the liquid and stimulates a pump, which draws it inside and through a "microfluidic circuit". While a user is urinating, a "low-energy radar sensor implanted in the device" detects their "unique urine stream signature" and can recognize and distinguish between several users. When one or more biomarkers are detected, chemical reactions occur, producing specific colors that are analyzed by an optical sensor. The device itself is cleaned during each flush, but you should still wear gloves when switching cartridges or charging it. The kit costs €499.95 (approximately USD 530) and includes a three-month subscription or standalone cartridges. There is no word about when the kit will be available in the US. The U-Scan Nutri Balance cartridge and app will provide information on a user's pH, vitamin C, carb balance, and ketone levels. It can also predict "cycle predictions and ovulation window based on hormonal detection". The hope is that it will provide more accurate predictions and insights into a user cycle than apps that rely on self-collected data alone.
