Because the new Tru Bio product from Majority (including the cover) is composed of "eco-biodegradable" materials, the company promotes it as an especially sustainable example of wireless earbuds. Large drivers, which are also biodegradable, and electronics that supports modern Bluetooth connectivity are rated to produce high-quality audio as well (less so). The battery life of the Tru Bio buds is rated at 30 hours, and they can be recharged using USB type-C. Majority is a UK company that, through initiatives like their 435,000 tree-planting program in collaboration with Ecologi, hopes to become "the first carbon-neutral audio brand." Its newest accessory release adheres to this business philosophy and features a "eco-biodegradable" build that is available in 3 pastel color options. Even their 13mm "biocellulose" drivers have a higher chance of being recycled in the future because they are constructed of "certified biodegradable plastic." These recyclable popcorn-style buds weigh 48.3g in total and come with a "lipstick-sized" charging case. They are currently exclusively sold on Amazon.co.uk or majority.co.uk for £34.95 (about $42) each. Given their cost and USP, it may be expected that they would not include capabilities like ANC or spatial audio. But at least the Tru Bio earbuds include a microphone, control buttons, and USB type-C charging.
