Frank D. Yeary appointed as new independent chair by Intel Board of Directors

Frank D. Yeary has been named as the new independent chair of Intel Corporation's board of directors, the company said today.
This comes after Dr. Omar Ishrak's choice to leave his position as chair. Ishrak will continue to serve on the audit and finance committee, corporate governance and nominating committee, and the board of directors of Intel as an independent director.

Yeary says: "It is a great honor for me to assume this extended responsibility at such a crucial moment for Intel. The organization undoubtedly faces challenging difficulties, but I am certain that we have the best plan in place. It is essential that we execute well and provide value to our stockholders at the same time."

Ishrak stated: "It has been an honor to preside over Intel's board of directors and contribute to laying the groundwork for the organization's transformation. I anticipate staying on the Intel board and supporting Frank wholeheartedly in his new position."
Yeary has been an Intel director since 2009. He also serves as a managing member of the private investment company Darwin Capital Advisors. He served as executive chairman of CamberView Partners LLC, which he co-founded and which specializes in investor-led advising for public companies, until 2018.

Yeary spent 25 years in the financial sector, notably as the worldwide head of mergers and acquisitions and a member of the management committee of Citigroup Investment Banking, before serving as vice chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley. Yeary also sits on the boards of directors for several private businesses, including Mobileye, PayPal Holdings, and others.
