In addition, they said Volkswagen had the power to influence lawmakers to embrace the climate agenda. climate protesters Furthermore, a researcher from the Kiel Institute who joined the climate protesters, Gianluca Grimalda, said in a series of tweets that there is a real link between CO2 emissions and the increase in global temperatures. "Decarbonization is important, and it must happen as fast as possible because the Roadmap 2050 target for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions is too far away to have a meaningful impact," the researcher said in a Twitter video. On another note, Scientist Rebellion stated in a petition,  that has already collected more than 200 signatures, that historically the scientific community utilized its authority to alert society of the genuine possibility of a worldwide apocalypse and to demand that those in positions of authority take necessary action.
The group urged the public, "The response of scientists the world over must be decisive. How do we honor the public's growing trust in our expert community in the face of looming catastrophes of climate and ecological breakdown? It is simple: academics must share with the public what they share with each other about the world's response to climate change and biodiversity loss."
