Google Accidentally Launched Redesigned Home App, APK is here

Google revealed a beautiful revamp for its Home app on October 4. In a few weeks, the public preview of this revamp is expected. However, Google unintentionally distributed a somewhat flawed and incomplete version of this redesign to a small number of people. And simply installing the APK, you can check it out for yourself. The Google Home public preview is not yet accepting registrations. However, as Android Police notes, a small group of Google supporters discovered how to register ahead of time. Soon after getting into the preview program, they obtained an internal "dogfood" build of the revamped app. Google uses the branding "dogfood" to alert staff that an app is private. The Google Home revamp is now not functioning for certain users in this "dogfood" app. But Esper.io's Mishaal Rahman was able to turn on the revamp. His photos demonstrate how much more prepared the new Google Home is for huge smart homes, and how Google's "favorites" and "spaces" systems will make it easier for customers to organize different areas of their smart homes into neat little groups. Notably, Matter is compatible with this version of Google Home. For setting up devices that support Matter, there is a special menu. Although Matter 1.0 was released on October 4, we are still awaiting Matter-certified devices and an update that enables Matter, making it difficult to test this functionality at this time. Download it from APK Mirror if you're impatient or interested enough to test this private Google Home upgrade. But take note: It's somewhat flawed and most likely won't function with all of your smart home gadgets.
