Google Announced All the New Android Features

Cheers to the Android users! Google announced new features for Android today that users can expect in the coming weeks. Google revealed nine new Android and Wear OS features today at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Here’s a look into some of the fun features:

Google Android New Features in 2023

Magic Eraser for iPhones and Androids

Google’s Magic Eraser feature is now available on Android, as well as, iOS devices, which is a smart move on Google’s part. However, the other devices will not be getting it for free; only Google One subscribers will be able to use Magic Eraser. The subscriptions are fairly cheap starting at $1.99 per month which won’t burn a hole in your pocket. 

Emoji Kitchen Supports More Emojis

One of Googleboard’s most interesting and creative features, Emoji Kitchen allows you to expand your emoji possibilities by combining two different emojis into one. Superzoom in Chrome Google Announced All the New Android Features

If the rest of the announcement didn’t get to you, this might get you interested. Chrome for Android will soon support zooming up to 300%. It will also allow you to set this zoom as your default across the board, so you don’t have to change it every time you open Chrome. Google Keep widget and shortcuts

Google is also adding a “Google Keep single note” widget to let you add one of your notes to your phone’s home screen, including reminders, background colors, and any images you added to the note, allowing you to check things off your to-do list without opening Google Keep.

Annotate PDFs in Google Drive

This one is for the doodlers and obsessive note-takers. Google will now allow you to doodle all over your PDFs in Google Drive. You can either use a stylus or your finger to draw and annotate. Not only can you use the default pen to write or draw on documents, but you can also use the highlighter to highlight your notes. Google Meet Develops Clarity of Sound

Google is developing Google Meet’s noise cancellation option for more Android and iOS devices. In order to access noise cancellation, you either need a Google One subscription or one of the following Google Workspace editions:

• Enterprise Plus
• Education Plus
• Frontline
• Teaching and Learning Upgrade

Chromebooks now support Fast Pair

Fast Pair does not just work for Android anymore, it has also extended to Chromebook which can quickly connect to new Bluetooth devices using Fast Pair. What’s even better is that if you connected Fast Pair devices to your Android phone first, they will automatically connect to your Chromebook.

Google Pay’s new payment animations

This one is simply adorable! You might feel sad after spending impulsively at the store, but Google’s there to cheer us up with a cute animation of penguins that pops up after your payment is confirmed.
