Google has some good news for Workspace individual plan subscribers. Users of the service, such as self-employed individuals and entrepreneurs, will soon receive a significant storage upgrade from 15GB to 1TB at no additional cost. Individual Workspace users will no longer have to worry about running out of storage space in Gmail and Drive. Until now, Google has only provided Workspace individual users with the same amount of storage as a free Gmail account. You'd have to buy more storage through Google One to increase that capacity. Google claims that users will not have to do anything because their storage will be upgraded automatically. Google Upgrades Workspace Individual Plan As the company rolls this out, every account will be automatically upgraded from its current 15 Gb of storage to 1 TB, according to Google in a blog post. Furthermore, Google Drive includes built-in protections against malware, spam, and ransomware, so users don't have to worry about accidentally opening a document and exposing themselves to malware. The blog post added: “Business owners have told us the familiarity of our tools helps them get more done. And today, we’re offering even more features for Workspace Individual users. We’re also expanding our regional availability to bring Google Workspace Individual to even more business owners around the world.” Google Workspace (formerly GSuite) is a cloud-based productivity suite that allows individual users and office teams to connect and work from any device, at any time. Google has over 8 million paying Google Workspace customers worldwide, with 2 million added in the last two years alone as the need for remote productivity increased during the pandemic. To personalize these email blasts, you'll be able to use mail merge tags like @firstname. Even if the Workspace individual plan does not currently support custom email addresses, this could be useful. Google is also expanding its Workspace individual plan to the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece, and Argentina.
