According to authorities, six individuals, including a 17-year-old mother and a 6-month-old baby, were killed in a shooting on Monday that was described as a "horrific massacre." The incident, which happened at a house in Goshen, California, was described as intentional by the authorities. Additionally, the victims' house had been the subject of a drug search warrant the week before.
In a press conference, Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux stated: "[We] believe that this is not a random act of violence. We believe that this was a targeted family. We believe that there are gang associations involved in this scene, as well as potential narcotics investigations."
Furthermore, according to Boudreaux, deputies were called to the house just before 4 a.m. on Monday morning because of a complaint reporting many rounds fired. "Actually, they believed there was an active shooter in the area because of the number of rounds being fired," Boudreaux added.

Moreover, when they arrived, the police saw two victims already dead in the street, a third in the doorway, and the remaining victims inside and outside the house. One victim was discovered alive and brought to the hospital, but, according to Boudreaux, was later declared dead.
He stated that at least two suspects are still at large. He said of the incident at the house in Goshen, "The whole situation is tragic."
On another note, the sheriff stated that there may be information that he is unable to reveal but that could help identify the culprits. Lastly, Boudreaux revealed that survivors were present and that they had been led away from the area to be interviewed.
