Customers who spread the news online were the first to notice a new item on Apple's retail store shelves, the Level Lock+ smart door lock for the home.
It is an updated version of Apple's original Level Lock, a gadget that links doors with smart home technology so that users may access it using Cupertino giant's products.
With the Level Lock+'s Home Key support, users can use only iPhones or Apple Watches that are compatible with the lock to open it. Users confirmed the availability of the Level Lock+ from the Cupertino company, which is available for purchase, by tweeting about their sightings of an Apple Retail Store. It is an improved version of Level Lock, which was previously launched and is only available at certain Apple Store locations around the country.
With the new Level Lock+, people can unlock their homes using only their smartphones thanks to a door lock that is compatible with Apple's HomeKit capabilities. Users can buy it from the firm "level," which makes it accessible in Apple Retail Stores, in conjunction with the business's most recent feature.
The Level Lock+ has been enhanced to include Home Key Support, which enables users to open doors with their iPhones and Apple Watches without the need for any other apps.
The Home Key would also verify its security with the aforementioned Apple gadgets by scanning them when they were close to it.
For the time being, it is unclear if Level Lock+ will be compatible with Apple's Matter integration. Additionally, it supports guest sharing and NFC cards for the lock.
