How to Set a Password now on Steam Deck Consoles?

It is not uncommon for people to password lock the screens of their smartphones. Interestingly, Valve Steam Deck will now be offering its users a similar feature. Isn't that cool? Imagine someone stealing your Steam Deck console and being unable to open it and getting frustrated. The Twitter account of Valve Steam Deck recently announced a new patch for its consoles, including many features. Consequently, one of the features is password protection via a lock screen set up to protect the console from strangers. Moreover, the exciting new feature will contain a PIN lock mechanism similar to a smartphone. Here's how you can set up the password protection feature -

Go to the Steam Deck console's settings.
Search for the security page consisting of the Lock Screen option.
Select that option and set up a six-pin password. (Note: The gadget's controls will serve as numbers to set up the password protection.)

Once a user saves the changes, the Valve Steam Deck is as safe as it can be with a password-protected lock screen. In addition, users will have to enter the PIN in the following instances, every time they -

lock their screens;
switch to Desktop mode;
restart their device;
start it after a shutdown process.

Valve also revealed some other features included in the Lock Screen update - Updated Achievements Page, Localized Keyboards, Multiple Window Switching, and other SteamOS updates. Fortunately, these features will be accessible to all Valve Steam Deck users. Furthermore, Steam Deck is Valve's latest gaming console offering a lot for gamers in the industry.
