2. Turn off battery charging optimization

The Optimized Battery Charging feature that comes with your Mac extends battery life by adjusting to your usage and deferring charging once your MacBook reaches 80%. On the other hand, this can unintentionally result in slower charging times for your Mac. Fortunately, users may disable this feature, but keep in mind that doing so may affect the battery life of your MacBook in the long run. Follow these steps to stop Optimized Battery Charging:
  • Hit the Apple logo in the menu bar to choose the System Settings dropdown menu.
  • From the sidebar, select the Battery option.
  • Click the Info (i)  icon next to Battery Health.
  • Toggle off the box for optimized battery charging.

3. Try Alternate Ports or Power Outlets

At least two USB-C ports are available on modern MacBooks for recharging and attaching accessories. The charging procedure might be hampered by one of these ports that has developed a malfunction or that has dust or dirt inside of it. To check whether it resolves the problem, try charging your MacBook from a different USB-C connector. A soft brush or compressed air can also be used to thoroughly clean the port.
