Huge Flock of Sheep Walking in a Circle for 12 Days Straight, Unclear They Even Eat or Drink

In the Inner Mongolia region of northern China, dozens of sheep have been unsettlingly moving in a circle for the past 12 days. Surveillance footage of the peculiar activity depicts a sizable flock moving steadily in an almost perfect circle around a farm. While some sheep can be observed observing from outside the rotation, others occasionally stop still in the middle. Chinese state-run media source People's Daily tweeted a video of the peculiar incident on Wednesday, reporting that the sheep are in fine condition and the reason for their bizarre behavior is yet unknown. According to Ms. Miao, the sheep owner, the spectacle reportedly started with a small number of sheep before the entire flock joined in, according to Metro. Only the sheep in pen number 13 have been behaving in this manner, out of the farm's 34 sheep pens. Since November 4, they have started moving. It's unknown if they pause for food or drink. Some have hypothesized that Listeriosis, often known as "circling disease," is a bacterial illness that may be to blame for the sheep's behavior. "Affected animals initially exhibit anorexia, depression, and confusion. The Merck Manual states that they "may thrust themselves into corners, lean against fixed objects, or spiral toward the affected side.
