One of the greatest PC cases available, the Hyte Y60, is receiving a significant update in the form of an official DIY mod kit. For $120, the Hyte Y60 LCD DIT kit lets you swap out one of the case's toughened glass panels for a programmable screen. You've undoubtedly seen this hack before if you frequently browse Reddit or Instagram for PC builds. Community members have been purchasing screens pthat suit the opening in Hyte's case for months, and they've been mounting them with 3D-printed mounts made by the community. In fact, the business commented, "THIS IS SO COOL," in response to a user's creation in a Reddit discussion a few months ago. The kit is currently being sold by Hyte in an official capacity. The screen, a driver board that supplies power and data to the screen, and the wires needed to connect everything are all included in the $120 package. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer a complete solution right out of the gate. Hyte supplies the file you need to create the screen mount, but you still need to 3D-print one. Instead, the accompanying driver board has a small HDMI connection that you must use to connect to your graphics card through your computer. The panel will then appear in your operating system as an additional monitor. The patch was initially developed for Aida64's SensorPanel program, which lets you view sensors like system utilization, CPU speed, and temperature in personalized themes. With Hyte's DIY kit, you can still download and utilize these themes, but you can also use it to show pictures, videos, and other content. In addition, the business unveiled the new Hyte Y40 case, a slimmer variation of the massively popular Y60. The Y40 chooses a typical power supply basement and a thinner form factor over the dual-chamber construction of the Y60 and its fish tank-like appearance. The Y60 only has three slots, but the vertical GPU mount has four. Additionally, the case is $50 less expensive at $150.
