The vehicle will have an estimated cost of 340 miles and will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than four hours.

Platform Ioniq 6

The Ioniq 6 is built on Hyundai's E-GMP platform, which further underpins the Ioniq 5 and the Hyundai brand's battery-electric vehicles, such as the Kia EV6 and the Genesis GV60. Hyundai has positioned the Hyundai Ioniq 6 as a Tesla Model 3 competitor. The company claims that by 2030, it will have introduced 17 battery-electric models and sold over 1.8 million EVs worldwide. Power and Speed

The Ionic 6 has a long and low roofline, as well as a slight boattail shape, which Hyundai claims gives it a "ultra low drag coefficient." The Ioniq 6 will have a range of up to 340 miles when equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery pack and will be available in front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive version will produce 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque from dual motors located at the front and rear of the vehicle. Hyundai claims that the Ioniq 6 can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than five seconds, but customers will sacrifice range for performance. The Ioniq 6 with all-wheel drive has a range of about 310 miles. The front-wheel drive edition has 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as well as the 340-mile range. Battery Life

Hyundai's new Ioniq 6 SUV can be charged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes using a DC fast charger (350 kW). On a Level 2 charger, the car can restore approximately 65 miles of range in five minutes. Hyundai, like other automakers such as Tesla, has built battery-conditioning software into the vehicle. Conditioning can shorten charging time for fast charges while on the road. The Ioniq 6 is the first Hyundai model to receive OTA updates and V2L (vehicle-to-load) capabilities (aka bi-directional charging). When the battery is low, the navigation system creates routes with EV charging stations on the way. If a charging station is already out of service or in use, the system will look for other available EV charging stations and direct the driver there. The Ioniq 6, like all Hyundais, will include a number of Advanced Driver Assistance features, such as pre - collision alert and avoidance, pedestrian and cyclist avoidance assistance, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, and adaptive cruise control. Hyundai has not yet confirmed pricing for the Ioniq 6, but says it will do so closer to the vehicle's release date in spring 2023.
