The Nvidia RTX 4080 is now available in its desktop version, but all indications are that it will also soon be available as a laptop GPU. We now know the benchmark results of one laptop that has one of Nvidia's greatest graphics cards because some individuals have already obtained one. The test is encouraging for Nvidia's future mobile GPU because the RTX 4080 outperformed the RTX 3080 by an impressive 42%. Here is everything we currently know about the RTX 4080M. The "Ada" RTX 40-series graphics cards from Nvidia are almost ready for laptops. Even though Nvidia hasn't made any formal statements about new GPUs, benchmark results are already quietly leaking out. This time, an Acer Predator PH16-71 gaming laptop was found to include the RTX 4080M. The laptop itself sounds intriguing on its own, and when combined with the impending Core i9-13900HX CPU and 32GB of RAM, it should rank among the most potent gaming laptops when it is released. Thankfully, the Geekbench entry, which Benchleaks initially posted, provides more information than simply the device's name. In addition, the Core i9-13900HX, whose maximum frequency was 4.4GHz, is being shown to us. This CPU has already been tested in a different benchmark where it destroyed both desktop and mobile processors, including the Core i9-12900KS. The laptop version of the RTX 4080 scored 178,038 points overall. According to the Geekbench OpenCL database, an RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU averages a score of 136,008 and an RTX 3080 of 125,425, respectively. This indicates that the future RTX 4080 might be up to 30% faster than the RTX 3080 Ti from last generation and up to 42% faster than the RTX 3080. These results are very encouraging for the RTX 4080's mobile version. The card is obviously powerful in its desktop edition, but given how these cards are priced, the RTX 4090 is frequently a better option. According to rumors, Nvidia will launch a number of new products in the first few months of the next year. It is rumored that the desktop RTX 4070 Ti, which might simply be the RTX 4080 12GB that was previously "unlaunched," will make an appearance. Future laptop GPUs may also become more clear to us. Watch for further information during the January 3 keynote address from Nvidia at CES 2023.
