The new iPhone 15 has made it possible to track your nearby friends who have the same device. Its handy Find My feature will let you locate your friends using the Precision Finding interface which constantly depicts updating distance and direction indicators. You can take a look into this feature in this video by Teknófilo. The shared video depicts how an iPhone 15 connects with another iPhone 15 that is located 60 meters away. This trial was performed outdoors and so the range was extensive. The range could diminish if performed indoors.  To find your friend using Precision Finding, follow these steps:
  • Head over to the Find My app on your iPhone.
  • Select "People" at the bottom of the screen, then choose the name of the friend you wish to rendezvous with. (If you're not already connected, you might need to share your location or request theirs.)
  • If you're not in close proximity, click on "Directions" to approach their location. In case you're already near each other, select "Find" to inform your friend that you're attempting to pinpoint their whereabouts, and then adhere to the on-screen guidance for directions.

When you're heading in the correct direction, the screen will display a green color. Should you wish to send a message to the individual you're searching for, simply tap the Message icon located in the lower-right corner of the screen. Once you've located your friend, tap the X button in the lower-left corner to conclude the process. The video by Teknófilo confirms that the range of its second generation chip is almost four times more as compared to the U1 chips utilized in earlier versions of iPhones and AirTags.
