Although it is claimed that Apple is developing an iPhone with USB-C this year, inventive customers have acted independently and developed their own USB-C iPhones. The most recent of these modifications were made by an engineer who produced an iPhone with a
USB-C port and a Lightning port next to each other.
The engineer behind the iPhone modification is on YouTube. The engineer expanded the iPhone by adding a port using an iPhone 12 mini (but it is likely that any iPhone would work). This indicates that not only can this modified iPhone utilizes the current USB-C standard, but it also has the ability to do something as basic as play music through wired headphones while charging. Any USB-C and Lightning-wired headphones or charger would function with Apple's iPhones since the
Lightning port supports audio playback.

Apple had avoided putting USB-C on its iPhones for years despite transitioning its MacBooks and iPad Pro lineup to USB-C slowly. Now, every Macbook or iPad you can buy comes complete with a USB-C port, with the iPhone being the only holdout.
This is about to change. The EU compelled it and gave it a deadline. Apple (or any other firm) needs a USB-C port if they want to keep selling phones in Europe. The debate ended at that point.
However, it's unclear whether Apple's adoption of USB-C will enable its iPhones to work with Android smartphones. Apple is reportedly planning to only allow approved cords intended for iPhones to be used to charge iPhones
using USB-C. If this allegation is accurate, you could be able to charge your Android phone using the iPhone cord rather than the other way around.

Additionally, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will support USB-C transfer speeds at a lower rate than the iPhone 15 Pro versions. When all is said and done, maybe this modified iPhone with two ports may prove to be less perplexing.
