Authorities claim that a man from Missouri killed his wife and her parents when they refused to leave the man's house, and he will now spend the rest of his life behind bars. Jesse Huy previously admitted to killing his wife Tonya Huy, 48, and her parents Ronald Koehler, 71, and Linda Koehler, 78, in March 2021. Additionally, he was charged with three counts of first-degree murder. Consequently, a judge imposed the most severe penalty on Friday. Huy will spend three consecutive lifetimes behind bars without the chance of parole. Furthermore, Huy informed police investigators that his wife's parents had come to help her recover from back surgery, per online court documents accessed by PEOPLE. Huy became weary and impatient with having them over as the visit stretched on. I went outside, got my gun, and shot all three victims in under a minute." All three victims were shot in the head at the kitchen table. Moreover, Jesse Huy reportedly called 911 after he shot his family members. Huy was questioned by the 911 operator about his motives. According to testimony given in court, Huy said, "well, they wouldn't leave. I've been waiting for a week for them to leave. I've had enough." Huy then informed the dispatcher that when the deputies came to arrest him, he wouldn't fight them. Additionally, the 50-year-old Missouri man was scheduled to go on trial in October. He switched his plea to guilty just before the opening arguments. He was held in custody pending formal sentencing. Lastly, Huy's legal representatives claim they have no plans to challenge his conviction.
