A well-known virtual assistant software called Google Assistant just debuted new features that simplify parental controls, offer kid-friendly voices, and even a kids' lexicon.
The newly added features will enable kids to conduct age-appropriate discussions with parents and the Google Assistant app, according to a recent blog post from Google's software.
Some households have already made the decision to start fostering their family's interactions with technology as home devices such as voice assistants become more sophisticated.
Between 2019 and 2024, Statista predicts that there will be over 4.2 billion digital voice assistants in use worldwide. Virtual programs are essential to millions or maybe billions of families, including ones with children.
Young children usually have a lot of questions since their minds are still developing.
In order to deepen their understanding and make sense of their environment, children put information together by asking particular questions. These kids are left to ask these robotic queries in the presence of modern technologies like Google Assistant.
To make sure that kids are exposed to material that is acceptable for their age and that their access to particular apps is restricted, Google Assistant's developers developed a set of parental controls for the program.
Parents now have more control over how their children use Google speakers and smart displays thanks to these capabilities.
Parents may now modify children's downtime schedules, activate or disable particular Assistant capabilities, and change media preferences using the Google Home, Family Link, and Google Assistant apps on Android and iOS.
Parents may now access numerous parental restrictions by just saying, "Hey Google, open Assistant settings." These capabilities will be included in the aforementioned applications over the future weeks.
