Microsoft There is a single "Office" app that is used for managing and organising other apps, but the word "Microsoft Office" also refers to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other programmes in the Office suite. Microsoft just made the name change official for the Office app website and app.
Microsoft stated in a support article that Office.com, the Office software for Windows, and the Office mobile apps for Android and iPhone/iPad will all be rebranded as Microsoft 365. The hexagonal form in purple and blue will serve as the new icon. You don't need to make any changes in order to access your apps or services, said the business. The independent desktop applications (such as Word or Excel) won't be impacted.
Office official website and Windows' Office apps have primarily been used as a doorway to current papers. While Word, Excel, and PowerPoint can be accessed through a mobile app, the Office app compiles all three documents into a single download. MS promises that both the web and desktop apps will get new features. These include a dashboard that shows storage consumption, subscription data, and additional templates. All other apps, including Word and Excel, will not be integrated into the desktop.
Since the subscription service now includes apps and services that have nothing to do with the venerable Office suite, such as
Microsoft Editor, MS rebranded "Office 365" to "Microsoft 365" back in 2020. Now that the name of the subscription service is consistent with the logo, there should be less uncertainty. This comes once the convoluted branding procedure is over.
