The tech giant has released an upgrade to its Google Home app that now allows users to manage TVs, fans, and air purifiers. As long as they are compatible, consumers can now utilise the smartphone app to operate their home TVs. In addition, it now supports fans, air purifiers, and vacuum cleaners. They may tap their phones to control their TVs or other home electronics. Now, the Google Home app has more controls. Users of the Google Home app have reportedly reported being able to manage their TVs and other gadgets with their phones, according to a recent 9to5Google story. The news source claims that control features like adjusting the level are present. Additionally, it adds playback options like pause and play. The IT giant reportedly declared in August of last year that it was "rolling out revamped controls for popular smart home gadgets." That also applies to televisions, fans, and air purifiers. Users are now able to use it, some months after the tech company made the announcement. Sam Mobile points out that users of the Home app are currently swarming Reddit to share the extra control features. It turns out that the previously offered touch controls on Nest Hub devices are similar to the new touch controls on the Home app. As a result, users can now use the Home app to play or pause videos on compatible TV sets, just like they can with Nest Hub devices. Reddit users claim that version 2.62.1.9 of the Google Home app is the one when the new smart home control options first debuted. It has a user interface that is comparable to other smart speakers that aren't Cast. As a result, it has a sizable pill-shaped button that users may press to switch on or off and adjust the volume. Additionally, it has options for changing the TV's source, enabling customers to move from HDMI 1 to HDMI 4. But according to reports, as of this writing, only a small percentage of customers have access to the new restrictions. It seems like Google is still implementing it. Therefore, it can take a few more days for everyone else to receive it.
