NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Shows up in Geekbench's OpenCL Database

Some merchants around the world have jumped the gun and started offering Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4070 Ti for sale in advance of its reported imminent release. This time, two customized versions of the GPU were discovered at a Chinese shop. We get the first indications of the RTX 4070 Ti's price from these early listings. The GPU might be just as pricey as the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080, which is unfortunate because they simply help to reinforce what we previously suspected. Chinese website Baidu published RTX 4070 Ti leak pictures, which Wccftech afterwards disseminated. The MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X and the RTX 4070 Ti Ventus 3X are two different customized models of the card that are both visible in the images. [caption id="attachment_76405" align="alignright" width="1200"]RTX 4070 Ti (image via Videocardz)[/caption] Although the cost of each varies slightly, they are both not very affordable. The Ventus 3X costs 7,199 RMB, which is around $1,034, while the Gaming X is priced at 7,599 RMB ($1,092). As a result, these cards are only little more expensive than the RTX 4080's suggested retail price, which is obviously absurd. It's crucial to keep in mind that these costs differ from what Nvidia will probably set as the suggested retail price (MSRP) for the RTX 4070 Ti. We have two customized variants of the card, and MSI is recognized for producing some of the more expensive models. Although they will cost more, they will be slightly more expensive than the Founders Edition. There are additional taxes to take into account, so while this pricing may apply to the Chinese market, it does not imply that it will also apply to the American market. Most likely, the price will be lower in the US than it appears to be in China. On the other hand, the fact that the list price in China is almost $1,100 indicates that it still won't be particularly inexpensive. Both the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080 are pricey, and all indications so far point to Nvidia maintaining this pattern. Pricing in the neighborhood of $800 to $900 seems very likely. According to rumors, the RTX 4070 Ti will include the full 7,680 CUDA core AD104-400 GPU. Other specifications include a 2,610MHz clock rate (possibly higher for customized variants), 48MB of L2 cache, and up to 12GB of GDDR6X memory over a 192-bit bus. The memory should operate at 21Gbps, which translates to 504GB/s of bandwidth. The RTX 4070 Ti has relatively low power needs. With a TBP of 285 watts, it is expected to use slightly less power than the RTX 3080 10GB and the RTX 3070 Ti, which use 35 watts and 5 watts, respectively. It still has the potential to be one of the top graphics cards for more well-rounded projects if the pricing is right. During CES 2023, Nvidia might provide additional details.
