Razer Blade 14’s USB Speed Increases With A Software Update

With an astounding USB boost, the Razer Blade 14's already-sharp performance will soon be even more cutting-edge, slicing through data transfers more quickly than before. Razer is able to improve hardware characteristics without making any physical modifications, thanks to a straightforward software update. Despite the fact that the 2022 Razer Blade 14 is listed on the company's website as having two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, those ports will be replaced by USB 4 ports that can transfer data at up to 40Gbps, or four times as fast as before and fast enough to support multiple 4K monitors and the fastest SSDs. The Blade 14 will support USB 4 when a pink color option was unveiled in July, but Razer later walked back that statement, as The Verge pointed out. The Razer Blade 14 reportedly came with USB 4 potential, although it wasn't yet enabled. Surprisingly, the Razer Blade 14 also houses Microsoft's Pluton security processor, which will be enabled concurrently with this software upgrade. This offers supplementary defense against CPU assaults like Spectre and Meltdown, which are highly challenging to thwart in other ways. Eight months after the 2022 Razer Blade 14's release, unexpected features like Pluton security and USB 4 compatibility appear. All models and configurations will receive the update.
