If you take a group of headphone fans and ask them to recommend a pair, they will certainly recommend the Sennheiser 600 series. It has been years since Sennheiser quietly updated the HD 660S2 series, but its latest addition addresses several complaints.  Audiophiles are familiar with the Sennheiser Orpheus HE90 ($16000) and its replacement, the Orpheus (an enhanced version of the Orpheus for $55000). They are ready to pay such a huge amount without any complaints.  Sennheiser also introduced its HD 600 headphones in 1997, offering outstanding sound, solid construction, and a comfortable design for $450 ($832 in current dollars).  They had a desirable balance of everything that headphone enthusiasts wanted, including repairability, without threatening you with total financial ruin. The HD 600 is relatively inexpensive compared to Apple's $550 AirPods. The capabilities of the HD 600 ($600) are only topped by improved variants such as the HD 650 and HD 660S, which include new features such as replaceable connections and enhanced materials. Sennheiser HD 600 The HD 660S and the HD 660S2 are designed to address a complaint that has been expressed about other recent models in the line: unsatisfactory low-end performance. "Revised 300-ohm transducers" lower the headphones' "resonant frequency from 110 Hz (original HD 660S) to 70 Hz to allow hefty kick drums to sway with ease." The HD 660S2 also receives "enhanced sub-bass tuning and more”.  Also Read: Galaxy S23 feature that amazes everyone If you decide to buy any of the models in the 600 series, pay attention to that final upgrade: these are all open-back headphones, meaning that they won't block people from hearing you blast Britney on the subway, unlike offerings from Sony and Apple. In fact, the HD 660S2 are designed to leak sound to improve their performance, so they’re not suitable for use in the office, on the bus, or anywhere other than your home. All kinds of noise cancellations are essentially nonexistent because of the open-back design.
