Today, Amazon also revealed a spate of new hardware announcements and several new Alexa features for the smart home.  However, the firm hasn't given specific release dates for the improvements; it does intend to implement them "over the following months," according to a press release. Thanks to voice commands like "Alexa, turn off the lights in 10 minutes" and "Alexa, turn on the fan at 6 pm," scheduling tasks via the Alexa app is now easier than it was in the past. Alexa's innovative home capabilities Additionally, multiple security camera feeds can now be displayed on smart displays. Support for wireless remote switches is a modest but maybe helpful feature. These can be set up to activate Routines, so at the touch of a button, Alexa can turn off all of your lights or read a news summary.  One of the new routine activities is the option to turn lights on and off or reduce their brightness by 25%. Speaking of Routines, according to Amazon, soon, Alexa will be able to customize them for various household members via their Alexa Profiles. Alexa's innovative home capabilities Despite Alexa's prior support for smart home cameras, which allowed you to see video feeds on Echo Show smart displays, Alexa is now enabling the simultaneous viewing of numerous feeds.  Most monitors can watch up to four feeds simultaneously, apart from the Echo Show 5, which will be able to view just two.  A new "Video Sticky Notes" function is also coming to Amazon's smart displays, allowing you to record and pin little movies that other family members can see. Alexa's innovative home capabilities When Alexa senses that no one is home and your front door's smart lock is unlocked, it will soon be able to alert you via its hunches feature, which can proactively adjust smart home devices without you having to ask directly. Also, a voice command can then be used to lock the door.  A new Alexa feature can also alert you up to 10 days in advance if an upcoming outdoor event appears to be in danger of being canceled due to weather. Finally, an update to Amazon's Alexa Together service will give distant caregivers more precise notifications. Smart sensor motion alerts can now be room-specific, and there will also be warnings for lights that come on at odd times.
