A rear-mounted lens capable of expanding and retracting like that of a "genuine" camera, as noted by the OEM, has never before been found on an Android smartphone, according to Tecno. A flagship-grade 5G SoC, a sizable AMOLED display as part of a "dual-curved" design, and 12GB of RAM are among the additional features that distinguish the Phantom X2 Pro as a premium gadget. The Phantom X2 Pro, according to Tecno, was the first smartphone to include retractable lenses. One could be tempted to identify this term with an OEM more like OPPO or Huawei. According to the manufacturer, a functional telescopic module is included with the rear-mounted shooter for taking portrait photos. Among mobile portrait lenses, it is also hailed for having the largest aperture (f/1.49). Though its specifications (50MP resolution, 1/1.3-inch size, and 1.2-micron pixels) match those of the Samsung ISOCELL GN1, Tecno does not identify whose sensor is responsible for all of these. According to the OEM's new partner, the feature is equally adept at rapid low-light pictures and portrait shooting. The X2 Pro also boasts a "world-first" "3.5D Lunar Crater" glass rear panel in gray or orange to house its new extensible lens, which is located in a camera hump with three other shooters, the largest of which is reportedly a second 50MP camera. The new Phantom-series flagship features a curved back that meets a 6.8-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. These high-end (particularly for Tecno) specifications are expected to be combined with a 5,160mAh battery and 45W charging in the X2 Pro. They also include 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The release date or likelihood that this "groundbreaking imaging breakthrough" of a smartphone will occur soon, however, are not yet known.
