AMD announced variations of its current
Ryzen 7000 CPUs at CES 2023, based on the Zen 4 architecture and utilizing the industry-leading 3D V-Cache technology. But now that we know how much they'll cost, we don't believe anyone should choose the standard, non-3D versions over these.
The prices for the three
Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs that AMD unveiled at CES have finally been revealed. The corporation has been particularly enigmatic regarding the introduction of the chips, but things are starting to become clearer, starting with the cost. The prices for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 9 7950X3D are $449, $599, and $699, respectively.
![AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPU Prices Confirmed: 7950X3D $699, 7900X3D $599, 7800X3D $449 US on 28th February](https://cdn.wccftech.com/uploads/2023/02/AMD-Ryzen-7000-X3D-3D-V-Cache-CPUs-Ryzen-9-7950X3D-Ryzen-9-7900X3D-Ryzen-7-7800X3D-_3.png)

The 7900X3D costs $50 more than the 7900X, while the 7950X3D has the same MSRP as the 7950X. The 7800X3D costs $100 more than the identical non-3D chip, the Ryzen 7 7700X. Considering that 3D V-Cache enables for significantly enhanced gaming performance, this is not the worst offer ever. Basically, for a relatively minor price increase, you get chips that are significantly faster and more capable.
This implies that there is practically no need to purchase the
non-3D chips, unless you're getting a great price on them or you're purchasing the Ryzen 5 7600X, which is the least expensive model. Additionally, costs may decline over the ensuing months depending on supply, much as it did for the initial shipment of Zen 4 CPUs.
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be available for purchase on April 6th, while both 3D versions of the Ryzen 9 CPUs will be available starting on February 28.
