Two Students Died In The Shooting At An Outreach Center For At-Risk Youth In Iowa

According to several sources, a shooting occurred Monday at an outreach center for at-risk youth in Iowa, resulting in the deaths of two pupils and the hospitalization of a third. Additionally, according to the Associated Press, Des Moines police Sgt. Paul Parizek told reporters that the incident occurred at a charity connected to the Des Moines school system called Starts Right Here. Furthermore, the third injured person is reportedly undergoing surgery and is in critical condition, according to reports. The incident has "multiple potential suspects in custody," according to a tweet from Des Moines police. Moreover, the perpetrators were apprehended after a traffic stop two miles away, according to a police news release. Lastly, according to reports, the governor made a statement following the shooting, saying, "I've seen first-hand how hard Will Keeps and his staff works to help at-risk kids through this alternative education program. My heart breaks for them, these kids, and their families."
