The Vivo X Fold 2 has been widely leaked recently, and the company now confirmed its existence, confirming that it would be presented next month. The X Fold 2 will be the brand's next foldable, replacing the X Fold Plus from last year. It will be the world's first folding phone, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor.
Huang Tao, Vivo's Vice President of Products, stated in a Weibo post that the future Vivo X Fold 2 will be unveiled during the Boao Forum 2023. He also stated that leaks and live photos of the foldable may surface before its April release. The actual release date of the new Vivo smartphone remains unknown.

Moreover, the renowned website Digital Chat Station revealed numerous critical details of the device. The X Fold 2 will be powered by the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, making it the first device in its category to arrive with this new chipset. This puts the X Fold 2 ahead of Samsung's planned foldable series, which is expected to launch in August.
The forthcoming phone is said to be powered by a 4,800 mAh battery with 120W fast charging capabilities. It is also believed to include a camera with a Sony IMX866 sensor, OIS, and V2 ISP, similar to the 50MP snapper featured on the Vivo X90 and iQOO 11 Pro.
