Google forced manufacturers of older Android handsets to update their apps before blocking Android Auto support for certain devices.
A more recent version of Android must be loaded on the mobile device in order to use the newest version of Android Auto. As a result, when Google required consumers to update, it also barred older phone owners from using Android Auto.
According to the most recent news report from Sam Mobile, Google compelled users of Android Auto operating versions 7.0 to 7.7 to upgrade to the most recent version. Users were pestered by a pop-up message informing them that they needed to update the app in order to keep accessing its features.
Reason to End Support To Older Phones
However, it's important to note that older smartphones are no longer able to install the most recent Android Auto app. In turn, Google's most recent action effectively restricts their access to the platform.
Users of Android Auto can wirelessly connect their smartphones to the in-car entertainment systems. They were also unable to use the app's functionalities since they were denied access to it.
An enormous "upgrade" button greets users of older phones when they attempt to launch the app, according to a recent report by Android Headlines.
Furthermore, it appears that there is no way to avoid updating the program. It appears that people are forced to use its functions if they want to continue utilizing it.
