A follow-up to Vivo's first-generation Android tablet is apparently in the works. It is now anticipated that the "Pad2" will include enhancements like a display with the highest refresh rate for its class and a top-tier MediaTek Dimensity tablet. It may potentially compete with its alleged OPPO rival by putting greater emphasis on camera specifications and offering a lower starting price.
Vivo is about to release the X Fold2 as its newest flagship gadget, but a second-generation Pad is also expected to be released in 2023 for those who would prefer a more traditional tablet experience. The comparisons between the OPPO Pad 2 and the purportedly incoming tablet, however, may be too close for some users to find amusing.

The "Vivo Pad2" is now officially expected to come with a "144Hz LCD high-resolution" display, powered by the similarly-sounding Dimensity 9000 SoC, according to the generally trustworthy tipster Digital Talk Station. The tablet even reportedly has a rounded camera hump in one corner, making it resemble a rebuilt OnePlus Pad.

The same new module, however, also appears to be more similar to the Vivo in that it appears to contain multiple lenses as opposed to the Pad 2's single shooter. Yet according to Digital Talk Station, the former would cost at most 2,499 yuan (US$364) for an 8GB RAM basic model, making it less expensive than the fictitious OPPO version. However, the genuine tablet does come with at least 256GB of internal storage, but the Vivo Pad2 might start at 128GB.
