According to Electrek, Crimson Storage is currently operational in the California Desert.  This is the second-biggest energy storage installation and the largest single-phase battery in the world. It is a 350 MW/1400 MWh battery storage facility that is situated specifically west of Blythe in Riverside County. Canadian Solar is in charge of the building and battery energy storage systems, while Axium Infrastructure and Recurrent Energy are the long-term owners of Crimson Storage. With this, it is anticipated that more than 47,000 residents will receive electricity each year. Right now, Crimson Storage is bound by two long-term agreements with neighborhood utilities. The project's inauguration is celebrated by California Governor Gavin Newsom. The initiative, in Newsom's opinion, best represented California leadership.  Halo Developers Make Master Chief Prosthetics for Limbless Kids He added that accelerating clean energy projects will enable California to meet its 2045 target of having 100% emissions-free electricity. With the two largest Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs) in the state, Crimson Storage already has long-term tolling agreements.  A 200MW/800MWh contract with Southern California Edison (SCE) has a duration of 14 years and 10 months.  However, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has a 15-year agreement for 150MW/600MWh with Canadian Solar and Axium.
