The streaming service Roku enjoys a good cross-brand promotion, and this time it is teaming up with DoorDash to provide six free months of the premium DashPass subscription.
People with qualified Roku accounts can get six free months of the DashPass membership thanks to a partnership between Roku and renowned meal delivery service DoorDash. DashPass generally costs $9.99 per month and offers priority customer care, a limited number of exclusive discounts, reduced service fees on orders above $12 (or $25 or more for groceries), no delivery fees, and no service fees on orders under $12.
If you have a Roku TV, streaming device, or even a smart home gadget, you should be able to take advantage of the deal since it is open to anybody with a Roku account and a linked device. Like many other free trials, it is only accessible to brand-new DoorDash customers or those who haven’t used DashPass in more than six months.
Notably, the trial will automatically renew for $9.99 per month after six months. If you wish to avoid getting charged at all, make a reminder or mark the date on a calendar to cancel the trial just before it expires since you cannot cancel it in advance (you lose the trial immediately). After you sign up, go to the manage subscription page to view the trial’s expiration date and cancel it. The reminder should ideally be put up in a cloud service that will alert you on all of your devices so you don’t forget it.
