The ability to uninstall bloatware has finally been added by Google with the most recent version of Android, version 14. Bloatware is any pre-installed app that is not used and clogs up an Android user's device. Android 14 fixes this problem with the "Apps Installed in the Background" menu, which is a hidden menu. According to the report, this menu will provide customers the option to remove any apps they do not want to keep on their phones, giving them greater control over their gadgets. Only the developer preview offers the service, and not all users can see the menu. Google has underlined that the background-installed apps are those made available by device manufacturers and carriers, are not required for the phone to function, and may be uninstalled. It is unknown whether or how readily Android users will be able to access the "Apps Installed in the Background" menu if it is integrated into the public settings menu. However, for the time being, it appears as though Google is finally making an effort to provide its users greater flexibility and control over the preinstalled apps on their devices. The developer edition of Google's upcoming operating system, Android 14, has finally been made available after multiple updates to Android 13 and months of anticipation. The developer preview has provided us with a sneak taste of several fascinating features that will be included in the future release. With the help of this new function, Android 14 will be able to automatically switch between two SIM cards based on which one offers the best call quality and internet speed. This enables automatic management of both SIM cards without human activation and enables users to have a backup secondary SIM in areas with poor service. Native app cloning will be included with Android 14 in addition to this. As mentioned in an article by Xatakandroid, Google has now added this as a new option within the Android 14 developer preview and intends to make it usable with further development versions. When an app doesn't support multiple accounts, this functionality will let users have two identical apps to use on different accounts. Consequently, two WhatsApp apps, each with a different phone number, can be installed on the same device.
