The air fryer has been sweeping the world of home cooking over the years and is praised for its capacity to crisp food while consuming less time, energy, and oil. However, you'll want to examine the model if the well-known item is already on your kitchen countertop. That's because the compact appliance manufacturer Newair has recalled roughly 11,750 Magic Fire Hazard, as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on October 13.
The kitchen gadget "may overheat, creating fire and burn concerns," the manufacturer claims. The Magic Chef Air Fryer Digital Fire Hazard oven model numbers MCAF56DB, which is available in black, and MCAF56DW, which is available in white, are included in the recall.
Although there haven't been any incidents or injuries recorded, Newair advises users to cease using the air fryer and send a picture of the rating label to the manufacturer. Once the device has been disabled, customers will be provided instructions on how to get a refund in the form of a $50 Newair credit, or the amount listed on the purchase receipt if it is more. The $50 credit can be used without a receipt.
