GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Reportedly Dominates the GPU Sales Race on Mindfactory

According to reports, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is currently outpacing all other GPU models in sales at German retailer Mindfactory. Midrange boards such as the RTX 3060, RX 6700 XT, and RX 6600 are also doing pretty well. The RX 7900 XTX has so far maintained its lead over the competition this week in terms of sales of current-generation flagships. Earlier last month, Nvidia reissued the RTX 4080 12 GB as the RTX 4070 Ti. The RTX 4070 Ti MSRP is US$799. As a result of the brand change, the price was reduced by US$100. Nevertheless, despite the card's adequate strength, many reviews bemoaned the selection. For instance, the RTX 4070 Ti was referred to as "Nvidia's Rip-off" by Gamers Nexus. In fact, the RTX 4070 Ti barely outperforms the RTX 3090 Ti. These opinions lead one to believe that gamers won't have a favourable reaction to the board. Contrarily, the GPU sales data gathered by TechEpiphany show that the RTX 4070 Ti is selling like hotcakes in Germany. The data in question, which covers sales for the current week, comes from Mindfactory. With 280 cards sold overall during the current week, the RTX 4070 Ti appears to be the card that is selling the most, according to TechEpiphany. With 255 units sold, the RTX 3060 came in second, and the RX 6700 XT and RX 6600, with 180 and 130 boards sold each, respectively, took third and fourth. The reason why last-generation midrange boards are flying off the shelves is easy to understand. Budget-conscious shoppers are left with little alternative but to go for older hardware because AMD and Nvidia have yet to develop true next-generation mid-range cards at prices that are truly in the mid-range. It's interesting to note that sales of the RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT cards were 120 and 100, respectively, while sales of the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 cards were 90 and 70. The cumulative board sales may fluctuate by the end of the week because the numbers in question represent data from the current week. One thing, though, is plainly clear: Despite the RTX 40's price and the media's reaction to the company's products, gamers continue to support Nvidia with their money.
